Principal's Message

Hello and welcome to our school. Carrying the rich tradition of the Presentation Sisters since its foundation in 1892, our school community is underpinned by the spirit of St Francis Xavier and the Jesuit mission to help others and seek God in all things. This tradition continues to thrive in our community today through the strength of the relationships we value and foster in our school. You will feel the Jesuit spirit in our interactions with each other as we live the values of Christ in all we do.

We celebrate our Catholic faith through engagement in Religious Education, Sacramental programs, prayer, worship and service to each other and those in need in the wider community.

Our students' well-being is supported through a dedicated Counsellor and Chaplain, various programs for students in need and daily check-ins. We proudly support the academic, spiritual and social development of all students irrespective of their personal backgrounds or needs.

Specialist weekly Arts, Japanese and Physical Education programs enhance the learning experience of our students. Additionally, we promote these specialist areas through extra-curricular cultural and sporting events throughout the year.

With around 380 students from Kinder to Year 6, our school is made all the richer by the diverse range of cultural and societal backgrounds of our school families. We proudly acknowledge the original inhabitants of the land on which our school has been built, the Bundjalung people. Dedicated Indigenous Education Workers provide opportunities for our students to engage in Aboriginal Cultural Immersion throughout the year.

With a focus on environmental sustainability and permaculture, we have established a School Environmental Management Plan that incorporates a 40kW Solar PV array, vegetable and bush tucker gardens, and rainwater tanks.

I appreciate that you have taken the time to visit our school website. If you would like any further information about our wonderful school, please don't hesitate to contact me. We welcome all who support our school's Catholic values and look forward to welcoming you.

Sincerely,

Dan Gubby

Principal
